ROAD TRANSPORT INFORMATICS (RTI) TELECOMMUNICATION APPLICATIONS IN CONFINED AREAS : THE ICAR CONCEPT
This paper studies telecommunication applications in confined areas e.g. tunnels, parking. It presents the GSM (Global System for Mobile telecommunication) working into the 900 MHz frequency band. To achieve this extension, specific electronic and electromagnetic problems have to be solved. This paper considers some system aspects. A frequency/time and a space domain analysis are performed on a prototype of optimized GSM leaky feeder.
