THE ATTITUDE OF THE FRENCH PUBLIC AUTHORITIES TO PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS FOR ROAD TRAFFIC INFORMATION : THE CASE OF CARMINAT
This paper discusses the institutional and legal consequences of road operation and road traffic information as they relate to the CARMINAT project. Two main aspects are stressed: 1) problems of coordination and coherence between the various public sector partners; and, 2) the relationships between public and private sectors regarding the management of value added road traffic information services.
