CONSIST TRACKING AND CONTROL USING SPREAD SPECTRUM RADIO TECHNOLOGY

This paper presents an adaptation of military vehicle location and communication technology to real-time train tracking and control. Spread spectrum radios, installed onboard trains, at wayside location and at control stations, participate in a synchronous, time slotted network enabling location determination during reliable transfer of control information.
