TELEMATICS IN THE GOODS LOGISTICS PROCESS

In this paper the importance of information and telematics for logistical organization is described. It is shown that information plays a vital role on all levels of logistical decision making. The availability of spatially dispersed data introduces immense possibilities for logistical change. Two examples of these changes are studied.
