EUROAD CONCEPT FOR RDS/TMC IN ACCEPT
The ACCEPT project combines three national RDS/TMC trials in Holland Germany and France using ALERT-C for traffic information coding and transmitting. The main objective of ACCEPT is to use RDS/TMC internationally to: (1) exchange information between traffic information centers of the German and Dutch police, (2) handle traffic information in multi-lingual situations. The EUROROAD concept comprises the use of a separate European TMC-location database and an enhanced way of transmitting messages to provide a solution for cross-border TDS/TMC usage.
