THREE NEW TECHNOLOGIES FOR ELECTRONIC TOLL COLLECTION

Presents three new techniques for automatic vehicle identification: (1) identification via remote readings by a microwave transponder; (2) real- time recording and image processing of license plates; and, (3) vehicle identification through digitalized image processing of its contour.
