INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS FOR VEHICLE GUIDANCE INTO INTERURBAN ROAD ENVIRONMENT

Specifies the necessary information that should be provided to the driver of a moving vehicle into interurban road environment by an Advanced Transport Telematics (ATT) system. The following factors are briefly studied as influencing the guidance task: road design friction levels required for safe motion, vehicle characteristics wind speed and direction, and low and high speed roads.
