RTI-SUPPORT FOR REGIONAL AND URBAN TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT:THE PRAGMATIC APPROACH

Describes a parking management concept employing a mobile information and communication system. The technical basis of the concept is digital traffic information within the framework of the Radio Data System (RDS) and the digital mobile radio (D network). The system features broadcasting the availability of parking spaces via RDS-TMC and reserving parking spaces via mobile communication.
