NHTSA TO CRASH TEST 58 2000-MODEL VEHICLES
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said it will crash test 58 of the 2000 model-year vehicles to assess frontal and side-impact protection for occupants. The tests will include 39 passenger cars, three sport utility vehicles, seven vans, and nine pickups; 29 will be subjected to frontal crashes and 29 to side collisions.
