COMPOSITE STRUCTURES OF STEEL AND CONCRETE. VOLUME 1. BEAMS, COLUMNS, FRAMES AND APPLICATIONS IN BUILDING

The current knowledge of the behaviour of composite structures of steel and concrete is reviewed in depth, particularly in view of recent developments in design procedures and codes of practice based on limit state design philosophy for steel, concrete and composite structures. Volume 1 includes material of a fundamental nature applicable to both buildings and bridges; there are chapters on: shear connection, simply supported composite beams and slabs, continuous composite beams, and composite columns and frames. Partial interaction theory and the effect of local buckling on the collapse load of a fixed-ended beam are illustrated in appendices. /TRRL/
