THE LANDSLIDE IMPACT ON THE ROADS IN THE NORTH-EAST OF ROMANIA
The network of the national roads from the North-East of Romania is presented together with the main landslides that involved traffic alterations and the transient and permanent solutions for recovery. Ground failures of man-made slopes and landslides of adjacent natural slopes are briefly introduced together with a specific grouping based on geometrical characteristics, ground conditions and causative factors. The impact of these landslides is evaluated upon the traffic continuity and safety, speed, load per vehicle wheel and the appropriate costs for transient or permanent traffic recovery. Thus, a classification of the efficient repair types is introduced for the natural rebalance, the road infrastructure and superstructure repair and the influence of direct and indirect costs on promoting some of the permanent solutions.
