THE INFLUENCE OF GEOLOGIC-GEOMORPHOLOGIC CONDITIONS ON THE MAINTENANCE OF LOW-VOLUME ROADS IN LITHUANIA
This paper presents the status of the research on the conditions of Lithuanian low-volume gravel roads. Road pavement roughness, as a major technical and economic indicator of quality of gravel roads, is analyzed on the basis of a variable genesis of used gravel deposits. It was found that gravel deposits most suitable for strengthening of gravel roads were located in the third over flood plain fluvioglacial terraces.
