CREEP OF SOILS UNDER EMBANKMENTS AND SHALLOW FOUNDATIONS
FLUAGE DES SOLS MOUS DE REMBLAIS ET DES FONDATIONS SUPERFICIELLES
The settlements of three test embankments and of the shallow foundations of a building were observed for 17 and 32 years, which was sufficient to reach the end of the primary consolidation period and to observe the first creep settlements. This paper presents the properties of the soils at both sites and the measured settlements. The settlements are then analyzed with respect to the calculation models currently used.
