MINI WORKSHOP: QUALITY MANAGEMENT
The mini workshop's purpose was to examine ways to satisfy the demands for quality control in operating light rail systems. This report is based on contributions from representative from several cities in Europe and one in Hong Kong that have light rail systems, but they are equally valid for public transit in general. The specific areas examined include: Optimization of the external quality through increase in the customer satisfaction, and optimization of the internal quality through increase in productivity. The original statements from the light rail representatives are included in this document.
