INTERREGIONAL TRANSPORTATION STRATEGIC PLAN : A PLAN TO GUIDE DEVELOPMENT OF THE INTERREGIONAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
This document presents the framework in which the state will carry out its responsibilities for the Interregional Improvement Program (IIP). It identifies how the California Dept. of Transportation (Caltrans) will work with regional agencies to on the priority of improvements. The plan presents a course of action for a twenty year planning period. It identifies key principles, objectives, and strategies that will gu ide implementation of the IIP during that time period. The plan delivers a course for improvements to the state highway system intercity passenger rail, grade separations, and mass transit guideways.
