PORTABLE CUTTER SUCTION DREDGE PROVES ITS VERSATILITY

Features of Orenstein & Koppel's Type CSD units with a total installed power rating of 1235 hp. The main diesel drives the dredging pump (920 hp) and the hydraulic pump for the cutterhead (150 hp). Power for other needs is provided by an auxiliary diesel. The hull consists of five individual and detachable pontoons so that the dredge can be disassembled either afloat or ashore and transported overland if necessary. The central pontoon carries all the machinery and dredging equipment, plus the pilot house.
