NEW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE ROAD TRANSPORT SECTOR : POLICY ISSUES, ERGONOMICS AND SAFETY
This book inventories the actions needed to prevent incompatible driver information and route guidance systems from being developed in individual countries. The publication contains a series of documents which look at such issues as interoperability priority networks, standardized presentation of traffic messages privacy, and the implementation of the Radio Data Systems - Traffic Message Channel (TDS-TMC) which could become the first pan-European driver information system.
