SENDING DATA TO ELECTRONIC DESTINATION SIGNS OR BUSES ANNOUNCE AND DISPLAY NEEDED SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE WORK
This paper explores some new ideas for passenger information systems. It describes how Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers can be used to collect data on vehicle location, monitoring, and maintenance scheduling. The possibility of automatic passenger information announcements is also briefly explored.
