BEHAVIOUR COMPARATOR PROTOTYPE TEST IN A DRIVING SIMULATOR
This paper describes the testing of a prototype of an integrated system for behavior assessment in a simulated environment. Deviations from normative behavior led to feedback and tutoring messages of the system that were tested both in the visual and the auditory modality. During the study driving parameters, mental load indicators and subjective ratings of acceptance were collected. Two groups of drivers of different capabilities, elderly and young drivers, were tested. The feedback and tutoring messages were found to be successful in decreasing the number and the extent of traffic law violations. Other conclusions are also reported.
