TELETICKETING. IN: INTEGRATED REVENUE AND TICKETING SYSTEMS FOR RAIL AND ROAD PASSENGER TRANSPORT 1996

The Syndicat des Transports Parisiens (STP) formed a working group with the aim to arrive at an upgradable ticketing system for the Greater Paris region. This system needs to adapt to changes in the rules governing fares and enable tighter controls over financial and customer flows while, at the same time, assisting the fight against fraud. The idea being envisaged is to extend the system's use into areas other than public transit, with a view to policy that will encoutage multimodalism.
