METANET APPLICATION AND VALIDATION FOR THE LARGE SCALE MOTORWAY NETWORK AROUND AMSTERDAM

In this paper the modeling of the large scale motorway network around Amsterdam by use of the simulation tool METANET is presented. The additional concepts of urban nodes and store-and-forward links are explained along with their use in modeling this particular network. Results from the validation procedure are also presented.
