TRANSPORT IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES: PLANNING AND INVESTMENT (1992-1998)
This issue of Current Topics includes over 80 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on the planning and financing of transport infrastructure and services in developing countries. Specific topics covered include investment by private/public partnerships, financing by Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT), and the planning of transport by road, rail and bus in urban and rural areas. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 1992 and 1998. Much of the relevant English language literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Road Research Documentation (IRRD) database.
