REMEDIAL TREATMENT FOR CONTAMINATED LAND. PART 12: POLICY AND LEGISLATION

In the UK, knowledge and experience in dealing with contaminated land have been gained mainly through reclaiming contaminated derelict sites. Information on various aspects of managing contaminated land is available from a number of sources. This volume is one of twelve that attempt to collate this information and the underlying experience into a comprehensive reference and guidance document. Volume XII summarises the key elements and main developments in environmental legislation and policy as they affect the remedial treatment of contaminated land. As well as UK policy and legislation, the European Union, USA, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand are also considered.
