FIELD EVALUATION OF RED JACKET VAPOR CONTROL SYSTEM

The report describes the field evaluation of a Red Jacket 'Aspirator Assist' vapor control system for motor vehicle refueling and a comparison with results from a test of a vapor balance system. Two different measurement approaches are compared and a combination of the two methods is used to calculate hydrocarbon emissions. Approximately 100 vehicles were used to test each system. Besides vapor measurements made during the vehicle refueling operations, vent pipe emissions were determined and added to the total emissions calculations.
