ALKALI-CARBONATE ROCK REACTIONS IN CONCRETE: DEVELOPMENTS IN SPECIFICATION AND CONTROL

This paper presents test methods for quality control of concrete aggregate rocks. Tests for reactivity of carbonate and silicates with alkalies are discussed. Criteria for recognition of potentially deleterious aggregates are given.
