ANNUAL DIGEST OF PORT STATISTICS 1975, VOL. 1

The digest provides the basic statistical information covering the main features and activities of British ports for 1975. In some cases, figures for preceeding years are also given. The tables in this volume are grouped under the general headings of: goods traffic - commodity analysis; container and roll-on traffic; passenger traffic; and manpower. The commodity analysis of goods traffic includes details for foreign and coastline traffic for individual British ports. Container traffic with individual countries is analysed, and details of passenger movements between UK and overseas areas are included. In three appendices are listed a commodity classification for returns by port authorities, an alphabetical list of ports, shipping places and associated port authorities, and a list of local boards and ports within the national dock habour board scheme. /TRRL/
