PELAGIC TAR IN THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA, 1974-75
This paper discusses the potential danger for widespread oil pollution along the Mediterranean Sea. Evidence indicates that this is caused primarily by discharge tank washings and ballast by crude-oil tankers. Statistical data shows the comparison of tar concentrations over a period of years.
