DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS FOR IMPLEMENTING A SHIPBOARD COMPUTER SUPPORTED COMMAND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

This report outlines an approach for the implementation of a shipboard computer supported management information system. The physical design specifications and design philosophy are investigated. The application of mini-computer technology applied to the shipboard environment is presented. Specific administrative functions are recommended for automation. (Author)
