ROADSIDE INSTALLATIONS. A LITERATURE STUDY
SIDOANLAEGGNINGAR-EN LITTERATURSTUDIE
Roadside installations such as laybys, rest areas, petrol stations, service installations etc are a necessary adjunct to traffic. Apart from the obvious needs for petrol stations, laybys or rest areas must be provided along rural roads to prevent excessive driving periods. The report reviews, on an international basis, the frequency of use of such installations, the control exercised in relation to these, their location and layout, equipment, administration and running. /TRRL/
