ALSA: A PROGRAM FOR THE ANALYSIS OF AXLE-LOAD SURVEY DATA
A computer program is described which can be used to tabulate and analyse the results of axle-load surveys such as those typically undertaken in countries overseas using portable weighbridges. From manually recorded details of vehicles' wheel weights, axle-configurations, load types, etc the program determines such things as mean equivalence factors, proportion of road damage done by particular axle configurations and load types, proportion of vehicles that are over-loaded and the proportion of road damage that these vehicles do. The report contains a FORTRAN listing of the db (a) value from heavy vehicles (buses, trucks) a /TRRL/
