CRANKING AND PUMPABILITY CHARACTERITICS OF MULTIGRADE MINERAL AND SYNTHETIC ENGINE OILS
The hot and cold engine cranking performances of seven multigrade synthetic engine oils are compared to those of one multigrade and four single grade mineral oils. In addition, the low temperature pumpability characteristics of these oils are compared. The results indicate that a synthetic engine oil can be formulated which is superior to current mineral oil blends under both high and low temperature conditions. /GMRL/
