CORROSION TESTING OF CHROMIUM PLATED ALUMINUM BUMPER BAR STOCK
The paper describes the behavior of Cu-Ni-Cr plated aluminum bumper bar stock of Alloy X7046 in a number of accelerated and atmospheric corrosion tests. Three different pre-plate procedures with several combinations of Cu-Ni-Cr were tested. The preferred combinations of pre- plate and top coating showed results equal to steel plated bumpers of commercial quality. /GMRL/
