RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND SURFACING OF VEHICLE PARKING AREAS
Asphalt and coated macadam are the materials most commonly used for parking areas. These recommendations concern the overall construction thickness and the type of surfacing used, with regard to the weight of the vehicles using the car park, and the nature of the subsoil. Three different types of construction for light, medium and heavy vehicles are described. Drainage, formation, compaction and accuracy of finish, sampling and testing of materials, and roadbase and surfacing construction, are also briefly covered. /TRRL/
