RESEARCH ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF "MENTAL LOAD MAPS"
Research is being prepared to develop a system which facilitates the identification of locations in, for instance, a town which causes a heavy mental load on the car driver. In order to develop this method a car has been equipped with a video-set, the camera of which is mounted behind the windscreen, continuously "recording the independent variable". Dependent variables are physiological parameters and a secondary task. This working report is an overview of the considerations in the preparatory phase of the actual experiments. /TRRL/
