DOCKYARD EVALUATION OF ORGANOTIN ANTIFOULING PAINT FOR GLASS REINFORCED POLYESTER HULLS
An organotin antifouling paint was evaluated for suitability as a protective coating for glass reinforced polyester construction boats. Paint formulation, painting and storage properties are discussed. Marine antifouling performance and adhesion changes are also reported and discussed. Results of the evaluation of organotin antifouling paints for this type of vessel indicate that these coatings are quite suitable for long term underwater protection from marine fouling. (Author)
