REVERBERATION IN TOWN STREETS
An interesting problem concerning traffic noise measurements in town streets is how much the measured sound levels and more generally, the statistical noise distributions, are influenced by reflections from street buildings. These reflections build up a reverberant sound field in addition to the direct field from the vehicle sources. The amount of reverberation in a street depends on its size, the nature of the facades, the vegetation etc. In order to evaluate this an attempt is made to measure the reverberation times of town streets. /TRRL/
