INITIAL RESULTS WITH ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED DIESEL INJECTION
ERSTE ERGEHNISSE MIT ELEKTRINISCH GESTEUERTER DIESELEINSPRITZUNG
A newly developed diesel injection system with electronic control is introduced. The comments concentrate particularly upon functional and construction claims as well as the first trial results with electromagnetically operated injection valves (re-formed), in the construction of which it was necessary to ensure accuracy in the cylinder head area of the engine as well as particularly fine tolerances in the engine operation. From the numerous investigations it is clear that with such an injection system, the combustion in a diesel engine can be improved but considerable development is still required before the whole system can be mass produced. /TRRL/
