COMPUTATION OF INFILTRATION FOR UNSTEADY UNINTERRUPTED HIGH RAINFALL
The use of previously proposed formulae for rainfall infiltration demonstrates the sensitivity of the response hydrographs to the rainfall pattern. For steady rainfall the proposed formulae of ponding time and of infiltration rate after ponding have been verified by comparison with experimental data. For unsteady rainfall, inspection of the formulae indicates that they may be in serious error for low-intensity rains of long duration. /Author/
