MARITIME MOBILE SERVICE, ITS FUNCTIONS AND CONSTITUTION

Classification and constitution of maritime radio communication systems are presented. Telephony, telegraphy, and broadcasting systems are discussed, and radio frequencies used are listed. Teleprinter, digital selective calling, linked compressor and expander (Lincompex), and communication-satellite systems are evaluated.
