ASSESSMENT OF TWO MOORING DOLPHINS FOR EXPOSED TANKER TERMINALS
The use of two mooring Dolphins rather than the usual four can offer attractive savings in construction, with acceptable mooring loads. It is recommended that ship designers and manufacturers consider the desirability of providing mooring equipment to allow for such a system also for vessels smaller than 100,000 dwt.
