DESIGN OF SINGLE POINT MOORINGS
The paper addresses the important aspects of designing an SPM, including: what parameters must be considered, how mooring loads vary with key parameters, how model tests should be conducted and their results analyzed to determine mooring loads, what factors determine limiting loads and environments, and what criteria should be observed in mooring system design.
