CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF STEELS IN SEAWATER SPLASH ZONE
This report describes the important role played by a rust layer in the dissolution of steel in seawater splash zone, a severe corrosive environment. From this standpoint, it also discusses effects of the reactivity of rust and of the alloying elements on corrosions of steels.
