The 150 600 tdw tanker "Sommerstad" has a length oa of 287. 00 m, a beam of 48.50 m, a draft of 15.50 m and is powered by a B&W 9K 900 GF diesel engine developing 30 700 bhp. The shallow draft is especially suited for trade in the Baltic, Black Sea and U. S. coastal areas.
