REIGER, A FLOATING GRAB CRANE, JOINT PRODUCT OF SCHEEPSWERF SLOB B. V. AND B. V. MACHINEFABRIEK FIGEE
The pontoon and crane installation were built to meet the classification requirements of Bureau Veritas Certificate 1 3/3 + Pontoon Sheltered Waters with a special freeboard certificate for oversea towage. The pontoon is fitted out with a circular crane supporting tower with a diameter of 6 meters. This supporting tower is connected to the deck with a heavy plate and to the bottom of the pontoon with a 25-mm thick ring. All compartments in the deck and bulkheads are supplied with watertight manholes for access and inspection. The pontoon has 4 mooring bollards, one towing bitt fore and aft and four single bollards, one windlass fore and aft.
