FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF REINFORCED EARTH WALL
Presented are the results of finite element analysis of a reinforced earth wall on California Highway 39. The finite element method was developed based on composite elesticity property of the steel reinforcing strip and soil. A comparison of the field soil stresses and horizontal movements with those predicted by the finite element analysis indicated reasonable agreement. /Author/
