ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND ECONOMY IN PUBLIC LIGHTING
ECONOMIA Y CONSUMO ENERGETICO EN EL ALUMBARDO PUBLICO
Methods of economising on energy in the use of public lighting are outlined: elimination of waste and technological improvements, without having recourse to a reduction of 50%, the effect of which is mainly psychological. For new installations, quantitative levels are recommended as well as a maximum power. It is shown how it is possible to economise in energy by replacing the lamps by others which would be more efficient and by using a good maintenance system. /TRRL/
