APPLICATION OF "STRESS" PROGRAMME TO THE CALCULATION OF TUNNEL LININGS
PRIMJENA PROGRAMA "STRESS" U PRORACUNU TUNELSKIH OBLOGA
The calculation of tunnel linings using the traditional methods of statics is tedious. This is avoided if general "stress" programmes are used. This possibility is illustrated on the basis of traditional calculation presupposition and of the rock mass action simulated by fictitious bents. The article begins with some elementary notions of calculating tunnel linings, expounding the basic principles of traditional calculation in structural statics. It ends with some general considerations and a practical example of the "stress" programme application. /TRRL/
