ANALYSIS OF THE TIME-RELATED BEHAVIOUR OF STATICALLY INDETERMINATE PRESTRESSED CONCRETE STRUCTURES
ANALISIS EN EL TIEMPO DE ESTRUCTURAS HIPERESTATICAS DE HORMIGON PRETENSADO
The author analyses the behaviour of statically indeterminate prestressed concrete structures, considering the effects of shrinkage and creep of concrete, the relaxation of the prestressing steel and the settlement of the foundation soil under load and deflection of the structures. These undergo variations over a period of time because of the action of these interrelated phenomena. For the basic calculation, influence lines (for the forces, imposed deflections and movements of supports) are used. Where a composite steel-concrete section is to be considered, a special treatment is applied, making it possible to deal with the concrete section and the steel section separately. An automatic calculation program in Algol language, which is applied to many concrete examples, is appended. /TRRL/
