SOME NEW ASPECTS OF PUBLIC LIGHTING
QUELQUES ASPECTS NOUVEAUX DE L'ECLAIRAGE PUBLIC
The author briefly describes two public lighting installations in the Netherlands, which have some new technological developments. The first is an example of catenary lighting for extra-wide roads. The second is that of a tunnel with very powerful lighting devices at the entrance. The latter was incorporated in the tunnel lighting system after consideration of the adverse effect observed in other modern tunnels of louvres letting daylight through at tunnel entrances. /TRRL/
