PROBLEMS IN DESIGNING DIRECTION SIGNS IN URBAN AREAS
Australian standard as 1742 pt 1 and part 2 dr 75006-75012 (manual of uniform traffic control devices) is not definitive in planning the legend used in an overall guide sign system. A design method is proposed to assist driver orientation on a network of urban roads. Examples of some Canberra intersection treatments are discussed. /TRRL/
